This 3M Hookit disc pad, made of soft density foam, features a 10-degree blunt tapered edge, ideal for finishing tasks on flat or contoured surfaces. It's designed for use with 3M clean sanding or Hookit D/F discs (sold separately) of grade 220 and above. The pad's soft foam offers enhanced conformability for final finishing, having been previously leveled and refined with coarser-grade abrasives. When paired with a vacuum and a clean sanding abrasive disc, the pad's unique hole and channel design pulls dust away from the sanding surface, preventing loading, boosting productivity, and ensuring a cleaner workspace. The 3M clean sanding dust management system outperforms five or six-hole products, significantly extending disc life and maximizing cut rate. Optimized for use with a self-generated vacuum sanding tool or a central vacuum system, the Clean Sanding system extracts dust from both the tool's surroundings and the work surface, reducing disc loading and prolonging abrasive life.
