Acrylic Platter Upgrade for U-Turn Turntables

Many turntables come with a more basic entry-level platter. Upgrading to an acrylic platter is one of the best options to improve the sound quality of your turntable. Acrylic offers a great combination of qualities that make it a great platter option. It is dense and not overly stiff. The density helps to decrease wow and flutter and the density combined with the low stiffness helps provide a clean sound with less static. As a further benefit, acrylic looks great, and can work well with lighting effects if you have any such accessories. Note that this platter is made by SupremeTech, not U-Turn Audio; however, it is compatible with U-Turn Turntables.

• In response to customer requests, I have increased the thickness of the platter by 3mm to 19mm. The official U-Turn platter is 16mm, but if you don't want to use a mat, this results in a poor VTA alignment. Because some of the benefit of an acrylic platter comes from putting the record directly on the platter, I have increased the height so you won't have a VTA issue when you place the record directly on the platter.
