There are scuffs, wrinkles, and sole wear from wear, but there are no cracks or deep scratches that reach the base. There is still some room left on the rubber top lift, but the toe wear is significant, so I think it would last longer if the sole was replaced.

This is a VTIP shoe with the popular Modified Last from ALDEN. The unique, old American, chunky silhouette of Alden is superb. Because it is calf leather, I think you can wear it more toughly than cordovan.

Regarding the size, the Modified Last is characterized by arch support, which reduces fatigue when walking with the constriction and bulge of the arch of the foot, while the toes have moderate room, and it is said to be easy to fit the feet of the average Japanese person. ALDEN is basically made larger, so it is often necessary to go down half a size to one size or more from the size you usually wear. I wear 24.5 in Regal leather shoes and 25.0~26.0 in sneakers.
