Amphenol external Mini-SAS cable with SFF-8088 to SFF-8470 connectors, designed for enterprise and datacenter storage systems. This cable is used to connect external SAS RAID controllers, HBAs, and disk enclosures that use different generations of Mini-SAS interfaces.
SFF-8088 end is found on newer external SAS controllers, SFF-8470 end is typically used on older RAID enclosures and JBOD shelves. This cable bridges those systems without adapters and carries four SAS lanes using standard external SAS signaling.
Manufactured by Amphenol, this cable features a fully shielded metal connector housing for signal integrity and durability. One end uses a push-to-release latch, and the other uses thumb-screw retention for a secure connection.
This is enterprise hardware, not compatible with USB, Ethernet, HDMI, DisplayPort, direct SATA connections. Requires external SAS equipment on both ends.
