■DESIGN

This is a men's-style pullover. The gauge is set higher than usual and the stitches are tightly knit, so it doesn't stretch out and sag like you might expect from a thick knit. It features a split raglan construction, similar to a trench coat, and a shorter length. The thicker knit compared to other items made of the same material makes it a valuable item for wear throughout the winter.

■MATERIAL

This material has the luster of silk and the softness of cashmere, while also possessing the spongy bulk and lightness characteristic of wool. The yarn is made using techniques cultivated over many years by a Japanese cashmere spinning manufacturer. The yarn is made by slowly twisting the precious raw materials to avoid damage, and dyeing them at low temperatures. The soft knit product is then felted in hot water to shrink and expand the fibers, creating a tighter knit for a lighter feel.
