Authentic COOGI vintage wool sweater, excellent condition.

This is an offering of a three-dimensional patterned wool sweater, arguably a signature piece from COOGI. This is a genuine item from the 90s when it was a huge hit in the hip-hop and celebrity world, and as you can see, it has a very rare early tag. It is a truly rare item, having been featured in a certain exhibition in the past.

About 30 years ago, my father received this as a souvenir from a friend living in Australia when he came to Japan. Although it was very expensive, it seems it wasn't to my father's taste, and in the end, it was never worn by anyone and remained in a safety deposit box (a specialized company that manages and maintains high-end clothing) for a long time. However, due to recent circumstances, I have decided to sell it to someone who will cherish it. The aforementioned exhibition was a showcase limited to viewing, and it has hardly been touched by anyone. It has been stored on a special torso, and even during the photography for this sale, we have thoroughly laid it flat, fearing stretching the material, even though it was only temporary.

Those familiar with the brand or vintage clothing will already know, but this is a top-of-the-line item from COOGI's lineup. The black and gold color scheme on the collar and cuffs is a decoration only allowed for special lines, and it was the style most favored by the stars of the time. With its 100% wool material, diverse and complex coloring, delicate yet bold undulations of the silhouette, and enchanting changes in texture, it is truly a supreme work of art. Moreover, it is a genuine item from its peak period, and the fact that it is unworn, a so-called deadstock condition, is something you will hardly find anywhere. It would undoubtedly be double the price at a vintage clothing store in Tokyo, but it is a genuine article (in the first place, COOGI imitations often use inexpensive cotton material, and it is almost impossible to replicate this item's hand-knitted wool). I've considered keeping it as part of my collection since it's not particularly bulky, but I feel it would be a waste to leave it as it is, so I hope someone who appreciates its value will take it.
