This is a cashmere stole from Belvest, purchased in the early 1980s. While it hasn't been used much, one fringe is cut mid-way. Also, there's a yellowish stain on the part that was on top when folded. The stain is only on one side. I'm not sure if it can be removed by cleaning.
I don't think there are any moth holes.
The other side is in perfect condition. If you use the clean side as the main side, the stain won't be noticeable, and there shouldn't be any problem with use.
Belvest is a factory specializing in men's suits, founded in 1964 near Padua, northern Italy. They seem to have also tailored for brands like Hermes. They are said to have the highest level of technology in machine-made suits, and the cashmere they use is of the highest quality.
You'll understand when you hold it in your hands, but it's a cashmere with a very long, fine, and soft nap.
It's large enough to be used as a short coat.
