Blossoming Gears by Andrew Reach

In 'The Blossoming', gear-like forms arise from the intersections of six small circles encircling a larger one. A hidden hexagonal honeycomb structure organizes the circles, with the centers of the smaller circles at each hexagon corner and the larger circle centered within. The smaller circles intersect the large one, creating six scalloped sections and leaving gear-like shapes. This pattern repeats, creating three-spoked elements between them. The gears are randomly highlighted in black and white, with a color gradient flowing across the composition.
