This Baltimore & Ohio depot, located at the intersection of Canal and Carter roads in Cleveland's 'flats' area, continues to stand tall. Constructed in 1898 for the Cuyahoga Valley and Terminal railroad, it served until 1933. The CV&T was later acquired by the B&O. Adjacent to the depot was a two-story trainshed. It's been reported that this building was among Cleveland's first to feature an elevator. Unfortunately, a fire between 1943 and 1951 destroyed the clock tower and roof. The depot's striking appearance is attributed to its modified Gothic Revival style and orange brick, making it a notable midsized structure.
