Bob Dylan
Complete Budokan [8LP + Memorabilia + Photobook + Booklet]
Price: ¥44,000
A special 45th-anniversary project for his first visit to Japan, a musical legacy that Japan is proud to present to the world.
Bob Dylan's first Japan tour was held from February to March 1978, and the album "Budokan" was released in November of the same year, later officially released worldwide. The recordings were made on February 28th and March 1st, but the master tapes were discovered in 2007.
After a long period of negotiations, 45 years after his first visit to Japan, the people involved at the time reunited. Mr. Heckel Sugano, who planned "Budokan" in 1978, was appointed as the overall supervisor, and the engineer who recorded at the time remixed the 24ch multi-track tapes in 2023. The artwork was also handled by the same designer, and the product was finally realized as a Japan-led, Japan-exclusive project. The complete live recordings of the two days are included, with 36 tracks on 8 unreleased LPs.
Memorabilia such as tickets, pamphlets, posters, and flyers from his first Japan tour. A 60-page color photobook featuring photos from the airport, press conferences, live performances in Japan, and off-shots, as well as liner notes. A Japanese booklet containing commentary, testimonies and anecdotes from those involved, lyrics, and translations. These are housed in an LP-sized box, a luxurious project and a limited edition. This unprecedented reproduction project in the history of Western music in Japan has also been decided for worldwide release.
