BrandTech, 675950, VITLAB 500ml PMP Class A Certified Light-Shielding Volumetric Flask with NS Stopper Tinted volumetric flasks of polymethylpentene (PMP) offer superior opacity to ultraviolet light, as well as much of the visible spectrum, compawith amber glass. They are also light weight and offer superior break resistance. An excellent choice for measurement of light-sensitive materials. They offer accuracy to Class A standards per DIN EN ISO 1042, even after autoclaving at temperatures up to 121 degree C (to preserve markings, cleaning at no higher than 60 degree C is recommended). Flasks may also be sterilized with formalin or ethanol or by and#946;-radiation, and are microwavable. Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and alcohols at room temperature, and good-to-limited (short term exposure) resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, aldehydes, ketones and esters. They are not suitable for use with aromatic or halogenated hydrocarbons, ethers, oxidizing acids or oxidizing reagents. Each flask is individually calibrated "to-contain" ('In') at a reference temperature of 20 degree C, individually ring-marked for accuracy, imprinted with a lot-number, and shipped with a lot certificate. The high contrast ring-mark ensures an accurate reading of the meniscus.
