Ignoring the LP that commands a premium price, this is an indie group from North Carolina that makes you realize "soul is best heard on singles." Their appeal is no exception, and it can't be fully expressed in albums alone. The quality of their singles is, in a word, exceptional, a characteristic that makes listeners weep. Their charm, which cannot be contained within the framework of pure soul, lies in their beautiful chorus and harmony, occasionally showing a touch of blackness and groove, and is the reason why they continue to be loved across generations. This record was re-evaluated in the 2000s, ignited by Udagawa-cho as the source material for FLICK's "Jidai Tokkyu." B-side classic.
