This system features numerous abrasive balls on a flexible shaft, offering an effective way to clean and polish both old and new barrels. For used barrels, the Fine hone, followed by the Fine, removes rough and tight spots, leaving a bright, visible, and tactile finish. It's recommended to run a patch through the barrel before and after honing to see the improvement. During honing, tight spots can be identified and smoothed out with extra attention. For new barrels, the Fine hone alone enhances the factory finish to a stunning, mirror-like shine. The system is user-friendly - simply attach it to a variable speed electric drill, apply Flex Hone oil to the hone, start the drill, and insert the hone into the barrel from the breech end if possible. As the hone operates, a slurry of abrasive and oil forms, facilitating the cutting action.
