For used barrels, start with the Fine hone, then use the Fine to remove rough and tight spots, leaving a shiny, tactile finish. Run a patch through the barrel before and after honing to see the improvement. During use, tight spots can be identified and smoothed out. For new barrels, the Fine hone alone can enhance the factory finish to a mirror-like quality. It's easy to use - secure it in a variable speed drill, apply Flex Hone oil, start the drill, and insert the hone from the breech end if possible. As it operates, an abrasive and oil slurry forms, aiding the cutting action.
