The Gaya from CAYL (Keiru), a garage brand that leads the U.L hiking scene in Korea, is a backpack suitable for town use, day hiking, and even long-distance hiking for UL hikers.
It's a size suitable for day hikes, but if you utilize the mesh pockets and the bungee cord equipped on the bottom, minimalist hikers can enjoy even summer mountain overnight hikes.
At approximately 18-22L, it's hard to find a backpack with a good balance of usability and appearance.
The main material is CAYL B-GRID FABRIC. It has a large, convenient mesh pocket on the outside. It's also lightweight at approximately 421g, which is perfect. It also comes with a hook to prevent sagging, so the outer pocket won't get too wide. This is a welcome feature for people like me who are careless and put everything like bottles and snacks in the outer pocket.
You can also use the bungee cord on the outside of the pocket to hold a mat or outerwear. The back has a removable foam pad as standard equipment. It can also be used as a mat during breaks or as a sub-mat. Of course, you can change it to your favorite mat if the size fits. There is a zippered pocket inside for storing valuables.
