The base is separate from the tree and included. The tree is dated 1988 and signed on the bottom. There are more than 80 bulbs that are glued in, and light the tree up beautifully. The tree and base are hand painted with a fired-on green glaze. The tree is adorned in multiple bulbs. The light kit and light bulb also are included.
