Fluid turns from blue to yellow when exposed to radiator combustion gases. Attach hose to any vacuum line on the vehicle. Or, on tools made after June 2002, use the red adapter with a hand-held vacuum pump. Place the tapered end of the tool into the radiator opening. With the engine running, the vehicle's vacuum or vacuum pump draws vapors through the indicator fluid for testing.
