When installing InSoFast panels on a ceiling, aim for maximum stud-ceiling contact to enhance stud holding power. Apply a 3/8" adhesive bead along the ribbed studs' backside. Add PL Premium 3x adhesive along the panel's wall-contacting edge. Consider installing wall panels first, 2" below the ceiling, allowing ceiling panels to fit between and rest on top, with shims supporting the edge until adhesive sets.
- Secure InSoFast studs with mechanical fasteners: 12"o.c., six per panel, into the recessed points
- Install drywall over InSoFast panels, mirroring traditional wood framing methods
- Attach drywall to InSoFast studs using standard coarse thread all-purpose drywall screws
- Apply PL Premium 3X adhesive: 3/8" bead on ribbed stud surfaces
- Add extra adhesive to foam along any cuts for enhanced bonding
- Panels lock mechanically when adhesive sets in interlocking dovetails
- Temporarily secure each panel with one mechanical fastener until adhesive sets
