The possibilities are endless with this precision-made, case-hardened steel disc cutter that offers nine different shapes. Best for use with a maximum of 18 gauge metal, as punches have a sharp cutting end and a beveled end for striking. Each of the nine shapes measure approximately 1/2 to 5/8 inches. Use with soft metals such as brass, copper, sterling, nickel and aluminum. Shapes include: Star, Oval, Heart, Flower, Triangle, Square, Rectangle, Diamond, & Teardrop.Cuts soft metals up to 18 gauge.Cut & punch your metals into perfect squares, featuring four different sizes: 1”, 1-1/4”, 1-1/2”, and 2”.Instructions: Use a disk cutter on top of a rubber bench block or pad for support. Use a cutting lubricant, such as "Cut Lube" to lubricate the cutting edges of the punch. Use a suitable mallet, never a nail driving hammer. We suggest our 1 lb or 2 lb brass mallets which you can find for sale on our website.Always support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal that you are cutting. (This will help keep the upper and lower parts of the disc cutter in alignment and help minimize material sticking in the disc cutter).Do not exceed the maximum thickness recommended for your disc cutter.Only cut soft non-ferrous metals like brass, copper, silver, and gold. Make sure your cutting edges are down. To prevent rust, keep your disk cutter lubricated between use and store in a dry location.We recommend to use this with a rubber bench block pad to extend the life of the cutters. Finish your blank by drilling a hole for a chain or cord by using our 2 hole puncher that can be found in our shop. Also, try hand stamping letters, numbers, or shapes into your blanks!
