Dormer's E709 machine taps are used to create NPSF threads. They conform to the American National Standards Institute and come in five different sizes from one eighth of an inch to three quarters of an inch. Manufactured from premium High Speed steel, E709 taps will give you good performance, coupled with a longer tool life. The bright finish prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool so you get a clean, accurate thread, whilst the tap will thread both through and blind holes, thanks to the straight flute design. Finally, E709 NPSF machine taps can be used for threading many materials incl. steels, stainless steels and aluminium.
