A manufacturer of expansive milling and drilling machines sought a solution to halt coolant dripping onto operators. These machines employ a plastic curtain to contain coolant during machining. Upon completion, the curtain lifts, allowing access to parts, but coolant continued to drip from the curtain onto operators and machine beds. EXAIR supplied a Model 2048 48" (1219mm) Standard Air Knife to blow off coolant from the curtain as it raised, successfully removing it and eliminating the dripping issue.
