This is a Japanese-style tote bag from Eriyoshi in Kyoto.

This Japanese-style bag is simple yet highly functional.

It can be used as a sub-bag for formal attire such as visiting kimonos, "tsukesage" (semi-formal kimonos), and "iron-muji" (solid-colored kimonos), or you can carry just this tote bag for everyday use, such as lessons, commuting, or shopping.
From tea ceremony and kimono dressing lessons to outings in "komon" (casual kimonos), this bag can be used all-around depending on the occasion.

It has an elegant luster from the silk fabric.
It is treated with a special "Silk Guard" finish that prevents stains and dirt and provides water repellency.

There is a zippered divider in the middle.
For valuables and small items. This divider does not connect to the bottom, so there is room for slightly thicker items.
Also, there are two different-sized inner pockets, so you won't have trouble storing frequently used items like cell phones.

It has a gusset and plenty of capacity. You can fit bulky rain gear and large pamphlets, so you can feel secure at ceremonies and outings with this bag.
