This access panel features a robust welded aluminum frame, available with a 5/8" (15.9 mm) drywall inlay and two latches. Both the outer and inner frame assemblies are made of high-grade aluminum, bonded via a special welding process. Panels 12" x 12" (305 mm x 305 mm) and larger come with a safety system to prevent accidental opening, which must be reattached if the hatch is removed. A 1/16" (1.59 mm) reveal is visible between the outer frame and door hatch. The concealed snap locks open the panel when pressure is applied to the spring-loaded latch side. This panel installs from the front of the drywall inlay, making size irrelevant. Maximum size: 24" x 48" or equivalent.
