The Faithfull Essentials Long Handled Planter has a forged head with foot profiles. Made from heat treated (hardened) carbon steel to provide both strength and durability. The polypropylene and powder coated surface provides improved resistance to rust, scratches, moisture and alkalis in the soil. The long T-handle is made of a steel tube with a durable polypropylene coating, making it comfortable to use. This allows full control of the blade position to produce a precise edge. It has been developed for the professional gardener. Use it for planting larger bulbs by drilling a hole in the soil with the barrel of the planter at the desired depth, inserting the bulb in and then inserting the plug back into the hole. The long handle planter protects your back as no digging is required and allows you to use your feet to penetrate through hard or solid soil for leverage. Mainly used in September and October for planting bulbs (daffodils, tulips, leeks, etc.) or in May when planting summer bulbs (gladioli, etc.). Total length: 960 mm.
