Designed to withstand continuous temperatures of 1200F, Lava Motor Mount Shields are heat, water, chemical and even acid resistant. The shields install in minutes, and usually removal of the motor mounts is not needed for installation. The first application for the all-new Heatshield Products Lava Motor Mount Shield is LS engines that use the factory-style mounts, such as late-model Camaros, Corvettes, trucks and Cadillacs. The shield can be used with nearly any factory or aftermarket motor mounts, including rubber, polyurethane, polygraphite and even the modern O.E. engine mounts made from rubber with an internal, liquid-filled bladder that helps to dampen vibrations that otherwise would be transmitted through the chassis to the passenger cabin.
