All our minerals and crystals are carefully measured with digital measuring instruments that provide the high accuracy of numbers/values!

  • You will receive exactly this Lepidolite Sphere - 49mm / 1 15/16 Inches Diameter; 180g / 6.3 oz (see photo, the photos are taken under bright light, stand included)!
  • Lepidolite is a lithium-rich mica known for its pink and lilac colors. It is a common matrix mineral to Tourmaline and Quartz, providing them with a very aesthetic and glittery base. A pink variety of the related mica mineral Muscovite can be identical in appearance to Lepidolite, and is many times incorrectly labeled as Lepidolite.
  • Chemical Formula: K(Li,Al)3(Si,Al)4O10(F,OH)2; Color: Pink to purple; Hardness: 2.5 - 3;
  • Lepidolite, like other micas, has a layered structure of lithium aluminum silicate sheets weakly bonded together by layers of potassium ions. These potassium ion layers produce the perfect cleavage. lepidolite crystals accompany such other lithium bearing minerals such as tourmaline, amblygonite and spodumene and can add greatly to the value of these specimens. A rock made of granular pink lepidolite and red to pink tourmaline is used as an ornamental stone for carving.

Please, handle your stones with great care, do not grind or crumble them, do not dip or add them into your food or drink, do not use any parts of them in any elixirs, potions, lotions etc. Always make sure you wash your hands before and after working with your crystals.)
