The original was released in 1973 by Ricordi, and is rare.
This is a reissue from the Italian label Contempo Records in 1991, and this reissue is also quite valuable.
Japanese versions were also released and are often seen, but this 1991 Italian reissue is not very common. Both the inner sleeve and gimmick jacket are faithfully reproduced from the original.

This is the only work by Cervello, an Italian lyrical progressive rock group, with three members playing the flute. Based on lyrics with a Greek mythology motif, it's a keyboard-less symphonic rock piece that uses instruments like acoustic guitar arpeggios, saxophone, flute, recorder, and vibraphone to create a blend of Italian-style earthy intensity and fleeting beauty. Corrado Rustici, the guitarist and flute player, is the brother of Danilo Rustici of Osanna, and the two would eventually join the technical jazz-rock group Nova after Osanna.

While inheriting the dark and passionate atmosphere unique to southern Italy, as seen in OSANNA, it develops a more jazz-rock-oriented musicality and sound. Based on the classic Greek mythology that inspired the title, it's a masterpiece that features technical and meticulous performances and ensembles, and is a representative work of Italian Rock.
