This small Santoku knife with the blade length of 13.5cm is crafted by Mr.Yamakawa, the bladesmith of Kanto Gyuto. “Kanto Gyuto” made by Mr. Yamakawa was designated as the traditional craft of Chiba Prefecture in the Spring of 2007. It is as sharp as a Japanese sword! Easy to handle, this knife alone allows you to cut a full range of different ingredients with no problem. Great durability! This piece is handcrafted to last a lifetime by Mr. Yamakawa in earnest. The blade is comprised of three layers, stainless-steel sandwiching Molybdenum Vanadium steel, making it very resistant to rust formation. The handle is made of reinforced wood in black plywood which makes it water-resistant and corrosion-proof.
