■ Product Name
Kailh Deep Sea Silent Box Switch Islet (Clear/Silent Linear/3-pin/45g/110 pieces) Pre-lubed with GPL 105 & GPL205
■ Purchase Date
Purchased a pack of 110 from the official Kailh shop at the end of last year.
■ Reason for Listing
These are leftovers from assembling a Keyball44. I was planning to use them for another DIY keyboard in the future, but I don't have any kits I want to build, so I'm listing them.
■ Appearance (Scratches and Stains)
They were stored in the original bag since purchase until I lubed them recently, so there are no noticeable scratches or stains.
■ Operation
I have confirmed that there are no bent pins or broken parts during the lubing process, but there is a possibility that the pins may bend during shipping. In that case, please gently push them back into place with your fingers.
■ Remarks
Lubing was done on January 14th. I lubed them while checking the condition of the key switches before listing them. GPL105 was used for the springs, and GPL205 was used for the stems. To avoid over-lubing, I did not apply lubricant to the housings, as lubricating the stem alone is sufficient to lubricate the friction parts of the internal resin parts. For more information, search for "BadSeed Tech How to Lube Keyboard Switches FAST" on YouTube.
Lubing has improved the feeling of stickiness, scratchiness, and spring noise during key presses. It is said that this key switch was the model for the key switches used in the HHKB STUDIO, and I feel that the lubing has brought it closer to the HHKB feel.
Please feel free to comment if you have any questions. Thank you.
