This specialized tool is designed to tackle the hardwoods of plane blocks and should be set to remove minimal material, given the fine tolerances that plane blocks need to be adjusted with.

The forged and laminated plane blade is razor-sharp and durable, and it is possible to adjust the other the sole of the Japanese plane.
