Kimono Remake Wool Silk Blend Chakudouraku Fabric Side Panel Gathered Dress

This is a remade dress featuring a side panel design with plenty of gathers, created from a dark navy wool blend fabric and navy floral patterned kimono fabric. The photos appear to be a brighter navy, but the actual color is a bit darker.

The wool blend fabric contains silk and has a fine woven pattern, making it a sturdy material. The sides feature silk fabric with a navy base and delicate white patterns, offering a smooth and soft texture. The side fabric was taken from a kimono that had been disassembled and washed, and it has beautiful detailing with fine white patterns.

The front and back center panels are made of the wool fabric, while the sides use the silk fabric extending from the shoulders to the hem. The neckline is a boat neck style, and the sleeves are 3/4 length extending from the shoulders. Gathers are added under the sleeves, and the design is loose and comfortable with a wide shoulder and bust area, providing a relaxed fit.

Seam allowances are finished with a serger. There is no lining. A seam pocket is added on the right front side.
