Expands to fit width or height of 24 to 42 inches. 27 3/4 inch crossbar height; 30 inch overall height. Protects maximum of 34 inch opening. Bar Spacing: 3. 5 inches. Exceeds 4 inch recommended safety standard for child window bars. Bar Diameter: 5/16th Inch. Strength Test: Tested to withstand 150 pound force at maximum extended width. NOTE: This is the window bar unit only. No screws, mounting brackets or locking channels are included. You must purchase installation items separately. Fixed mount window guards are NOT removable from window. NOTE: Check with your local building inspection department for window guard requirements for your locality. Your building codes may require that window guards be removable or open.
