The back of the top button is stamped with "522," indicating the El Paso, Texas factory. This model promises the rugged vertical fading characteristic of vintage denim.
This is an example from the transition period immediately following the "red ear" era (commonly known as the "Hachimaru" period). It features a thick 100% cotton fabric and beautiful side fading, which are not found in current products. USA-made 501s are globally increasing in price, and those from the early 80s are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
