LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING 501xx 1937 model.

A reproduction of the 501 from the era when the red tab and hidden rivets were born.

1937, the year the Great Depression raged.

Around this time, Levi's iconic red tab was invented, and the back style was completed to differentiate it from other companies.

The waist still has a cinch back, the suspender buttons, which were becoming obsolete, were removed, and belt loops, which were becoming more common, were added.

And, in response to customer complaints that exposed rivets would scratch furniture and saddles, the back pockets were sewn in such a way that the rivets were hidden (hidden rivets).

To emphasize the hidden rivets, the world's first pocket flasher was also invented.

It's getting closer to the familiar, impactful, and persuasive packaging we see today.
