Featured in Lionel catalogs from 1948 to 1949, the New York Central F3 Set promoted rolling stock that was never manufactured, showcasing a 2548 Automobile car with Southern Pacific Graphics, unlike earlier sets that displayed a Pennsylvania RR marked car first introduced in 1946. Furthermore, this set presented the popular NYC Lightning Stripe Scheme in Black, which also never came to fruition. To commemorate Lionel's 125th Anniversary, we've recreated the set as it was cataloged, imagining 'what if' it had been produced, using current Lionel tooling to achieve the closest representation to the original concept artists' vision.
