The gorgeous cigarette cup is decorated with colorful birds on front with assorted butterflies and various flying insects on a white porcelain ground. The cup is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. These cups are often used as toothpick holders in today's homes.
Measures 2 1/4" high and 2 1/2" wide.
Marked with Herend trademark stamp and "Handpainted" with form number and pattern code "8960/RO".
This pattern was created in 1860 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered by many to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain. There are 12 different designs incorporated within this gorgeous pattern
