Forces are optimally distributed between the solid steel gear and sturdy pawl, ensuring loads are in compression rather than shear. The gears are made of low-carbon steel, featuring a rugged tooth design for a large contact area with the pawl. The body comes with mounting holes, and keyways adhere to ANSI/ASME B17.1 standards. Regular lubrication is recommended after every 1200 hours of operation. Special orders can be placed for specific sizes, shapes, and tooth arrangements. A fully locked neutral position is standard, with a free-running neutral position available upon request. The durable construction is made of cast iron, with custom models available.
