The 18V LXT® 3" Polisher / 2" Sander (XVP01) features a compact and ergonomic design for precision detail work in both polishing and sanding applications. The XVP01 features a Makita-built Brushless Motor, which is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy for longer run time performance. The Polisher/Sander features a dual speed selector that provides 0-2,800 RPM in Polish Mode and 0-9,500 RPM in Sanding Mode. It features a variable speed trigger with power lock-on that provides added convenience for various sanding/polishing applications. The Polisher/Sader features a spindle lock button for easy wheel changes. The XVP01 features a rubberized gear housing to protect delicate surfaces from accidental damage. It also features a side handle that is angled away from the work surface, preventing unwanted contact while providing for two-handed control. The Polisher/Sander features anti-restart protection that is engineered to prevent the motor from starting up when the battery is inserted, while the power switch is locked on. It also features wire mesh air vent intake covers that help prevent pad fibers from entering the motor. It is equipped with a 3" polishing backing plate and a 2” sanding backing plate for increased versatility. Convenience features include an ergonomically designed rubberized T-handle for increased comfort and control. The XVP01 features a lock-off power switch for added user convenience.
