This is a guide to tea kaiseki cuisine and masterpieces by Yoshiichi Tsuji, the second-generation owner of Tsujiri, a restaurant in Higashiyama, Kyoto, who was instructed by the head of the Urasenke school of tea ceremony. It explains the monthly kaiseki menus and how to prepare and combine them, evoking the changing seasons, and includes color photographs of kaiseki dishes served in famous utensils. The cover illustration is by the Japanese painter Togyu Okumura. The preface is a poem by the poet and essayist Masamitsu Irie.
