The clamp arm matches this same profile and smoothly slides into the dovetail groove where it's out of the way of your operation and cutters. The New AP builds upon this system by giving you an 8.5" clamping capacity for your larger projects. It also comes with the dynamic X-Pad accessory, which offers you 2-in-1 hold-down and inline clamping pressure. The X-Pad works with your downward pressure and torque to apply inline pressure without lifting the material off the flat work surface like traditional inline clamps. Inline and hold-down pressure is essential when doing glue-ups and assembly projects. The AP introduces Anti-Pivot Technology, which keeps the clamp up and in a fixed position when changing out material during repeat assembly projects.
