Historically, the Soviet army was indifferent to losses, focusing on pushing back the enemy at any cost. Salvageable or repairable vehicles were kept, but beyond that, they were left to decay on the battlefield. This changed with the introduction of VK technology-derived vehicles, which were still valuable even when destroyed. To prevent enemy acquisition, these vehicles had to be properly destroyed. This led to the creation of a new KV47 generation with specialized combat and destruction capabilities. These models were piloted by elite mechanics who could also perform effective repairs using available resources.
