Stainless Steel Loose Ring with Sweet Iron Twisted Snaffle (MB 09T) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes. About the mouthpiece: the 09 mouthpiece is a more comfortable Myler version of the traditional single-jointed mouthpiece. Although it lacks the benefits of a “true” Myler mouthpiece, it has the distinctive curve so the bars of the bit wrap the horse’s bar and lips instead of pinching. The curve also creates more space for the horse’s tongue under the bit. The 09 does not offer the Independent Side Movement of a true Myler mouthpiece. The 07 is the 09 mouthpiece with a twist. The 07I is the 09 twist in sweet iron. The 09 is popular with riders who are more comfortable with a traditional design, but we recommend the 01, 02, or 03 to get the full benefit of Myler features at the same Level.
