This chisel is made by a small tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blade will take and hold an excellent edge. The blade is accurately ground. As with all fine edge tool, it will need sharpening/honing before use. This chisels is an excellent value in a good quality tool. This blade is 50 mm (2”) wide and is 6 inches long. The handle is made from European Beech and is 5 inches long. Overall length is 12 inches;. Bevel is ground at a 25 degree bevel. The blade has a well-seated heavy steel tang and the handle has 2 ferrules to withstand vigorous mallet work.
