Drop rods or cane bolts as they are often called are now available in 304 series stainless steel! Drop rods are also powder coated for a long-lasting finish. Use these drop rods on practically any type of gate or door, i.e. wood, aluminum, ornamental iron, and steel. Drop rods are used on double driveway-type gates to secure the two gates together in the center where they meet. Pair one of our drop rods with any of our latches for a secure fit. Drop rods have small tabs cast in them that allow one to open the gate and conveniently swivel the drop into a 'hold-open' position.
