This NSi Industries IPCS7550 Easy-Tap insulation-piercing connector is suitable for tapping or splicing electrical lines in copper-to-copper, copper-to-aluminum, and aluminum-to-aluminum solid or stranded wire applications. It can be used on main lines from 750 to 250 MCM (thousand circular mils) with tap lines from 500 to 250 MCM. It is fully insulated and can be used on energized conductors as long as the tap line is not under load. Double shear-head bolts ensure that the proper amount of torque is applied during installation. This connector is not recommended for use with extra-flexible cables, is not approved for submersible applications, and cannot be used with bare wire. It is rated for 600V and 90 degrees C and meets American National Standards Institute (ANSI) C119.4 requirements and is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 486B Listed.
