Around 1999, I was in London. With the year 2000 approaching, I felt like London was buzzing. At that time, a hip-hugger style was popular, where girls in London wore jeans low on their hips. A slightly compact T-shirt paired with hip-hugging denim looked incredibly cool.
I wanted to recreate the mood of those jeans in a modern way, and that's how these Millennium Jeans came to be. They're designed to look like they're worn low on the hips just by putting them on, but the key is that they actually have a proper rise.
The silhouette is "little baggy," and the moderate bagginess is appealing. The fabric is a sturdy 100% cotton, about 13 ounces.
