This is an early version released in 1993. It's a representative work of Bungie's early days, the studio that produced popular FPS titles such as Marathon, Microsoft's flagship title "Halo," and PlayStation's "Destiny."

In 1994, a Jaro, an alien race, appears as a hologram before U.S. President Bill Clinton during a meeting. He warns that a dreaming god sleeping beneath a pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula will awaken in a week and destroy the world. He then explains that the way to prevent this disaster is to stop the god from awakening.

In response, the U.S. dispatches a special forces unit consisting of eight members, including the protagonist, Sergeant Eddings, to the pyramid. However, all the special forces members except Sergeant Eddings are killed, and in the end, Sergeant Eddings is left to stop the god alone in the pyramid for the sake of humanity.

Afterward, he enters the pyramid, discovers the bodies of dead German soldiers, captures their equipment, and battles monsters...
