This Pulse Start Ceramic Discharge Metal Halide Light Bulb is a High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp that has 100 watts, a clear finish, and a color temperature of 4200K. Its color temperature causes it to emit a bluish bright light similar to daylight, suited for indoor, outdoor, automotive, and specialty applications with a better lamp to lamp color variation when compared to standard metal halide lamps. Popular applications include shop lighting, television and film lighting, as well as street and architectural lighting. With a luminous flux of 9000, the pulse start bulb is a better option over other standard metal halide lamps and increases maintained light output over 25%. Not only does this bulb have greater efficiency and lumen maintenance, but also has a 50% faster warm up and restrike time, and a 50% increase in rated life which is 24000 hours! This pulse start lamp, with its reduced heat loss, uses one- fifth of the power that a comparable incandescent bulb uses, helping you save money, time, and the environment.
