Ensemble Music Score Series for Contests: "Ensemble Contest Selection 2014"
Giovanni Gabrieli, born in Venice, Italy, was a composer and organist who exerted immense influence on the music world of his time.
His works include many religious pieces for choir and instrumental music, and this "Sonata pian' e forte" is also a work written for instrumental ensemble. It was written for instruments that were the ancestors of modern brass instruments, such as the cornett and sackbut, rather than today's brass instruments.
It is one of the earliest works in music history with dynamic markings and clear instrument specifications, which shows how influential he was at the time. This arrangement uses Euphonium to make it easier to perform in ensemble contests.
*Optional parts (1Choir-Trb.1 can be played by Hrn., and 2Choir-Hrn. can be played by Trb.) are also possible, but performance with the original parts is recommended.
The staples have been removed, and the music score has been folded and used once.
There may be folds on the edges of the score.
The surface of the file has scratches and stains from storage.
