A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn, marked by a red ring, should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without excessive force. If not, the thread fails to meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side should not screw in more than two turns by hand. If it does, the thread is subpar. All parts and tools are calibrated at 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request. Calibration is done in an independent lab following DIN, ISO, ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanner.
